Kent Choice’s for Horse Feed

Kent Feeds has been manufacturing feed since 1927 and their goal is to provide quality products and superior value. Kent horse feed products carry the same value that many of you have come to expect from a feed displaying the Kent logo, a brand you can trust.

Kent Equestrian’s ChoiceKent Equestrian’s Choice

Earlier this summer, Kent Feeds, Inc. introduced Equestrian’s Choice horse feed. Equestrian’s Choice provides a balance of key ingredients and nutritional value by providing essential nutrients at a reasonable price. Key trace minerals like copper, zinc, and selenium as well as vitamins A, D, and E are all included in the Equestrian’s Choice line for superior value and key health advantages.
To meet the needs of nearly any horse, Kent Equestrian’s choice comes pelleted or textured in a 12% protein level. Both products provide the proper balance of vitamins and minerals to provide your horse vitality and overall good health. Whether you are riding for fun or completion, Equestrian's Choice is a perfect choice for performance or pleasure horses.

Pelleted or Textured

Using a pelleted product is an efficient and cost-effective way to feed your horse. The pellet is more digestible than most sweet feeds, attracts fewer flies, does not freeze, and prevents sorting of ingredients. Many times, pellets may produce a lower glycemic response, so feeding a pellet may prevent a horse from getting “hyper” or over responding to sugar.
Textured products consist of the classic blend of oats, corn, pellets, and molasses to provide good nutritional value with excellent acceptance and palatability. Textured feed provides a more natural eating experience for your horse that may be more palatable to the animal.

Omegatin for Working Horses

Omegatin for Working HorsesUntil recently, to get more energy into a horse, you had to feed more grain. However, high intake of a grain diet can cause digestive problems, such as gastric ulcers, colic, and founder. This diet can also cause increased excitability in some horses. Omegatin replaces the energy from starch in the grain with calories from fat.
Omegatin is a properly balanced, nutrient dense feed with and exceptional low level of starch. The level of starch in Omegatin is 50% less than many popular ‘rice bran’ products. This starch level is possible due to the highly digestible, specialized ingredients that make up this soft-pelleted, cherry flavored product.
Feeding Omegatin with you horses current diet, or feeding Omegatin as the sole diet, can provide your horse the energy it needs to compete, with out the risk of digestive upsets and hyperactivity.

Equine Choice Supplement

Equine Choice SupplementEquine Choice is a molasses based nutritional supplement for horses. This product is to be fed free choice and is available in a 33 1/3 pound pail. Place Equine Choice in a dry location near the animals source of water or loafing area. Consumption will vary depending on the animal’s size and the quality of the animals available grain and roughage.

Kent Feeds - Working to Expand Opportunities in Agriculture

Strong families have always been the backbone of American agriculture. Today, Kent Feeds, Inc., is part of a hard working family of companies, called The Kent Group. We're joining together to open new ways to help America's grain and livestock industries thrive. Our vision gives us the foresight to set forth in new directions while retaining our dedication to industry stewardship. Even as we expand our vision, we hold tight to our commitments to our customers, dealers, employees, and investors. On American farms it has often been said that many hands make light work. In the same way, by combining financial strengths, we have developed the scope to explore new ventures, employ new technologies and support new research. Though we have assumed a modern scale, we haven't forgotten our roots. Always a family owned business, we will forever take customer and dealer interests to heart. Thanks to All and We Wish You a Great Fall Season

Thank you for a great show season. We appreciate the opportunity to “walk down the road of life” with you and your families. Congratulations to all the winners and we wish loads of encouragement for those who didn’t place as high as they hoped. Take time to evaluate your livestock project and make notes of what you might do differently for next year. Remember, experience is a great way to learn, and hands on experience is the best.
As in the past, we will offer special show feed pricing for your projects next summer. With both the ag economy and general economy in very volatile times, these programs will be evaluated through the end of the year. Be watching your mail for a special opportunity to lock your show feeds price in as early as the middle of December. We will also offer a program in March.
Have a great fall season and we will ‘talk’ to you again this winter! - Sam & Family
